About my Practice

Jane is a business-school-trained coach and change consultant who is passionate about helping people to realise their potential. She has a reputation for blending a high level of empathy and support with the ability to cut through to the heart of any issue. She is known as a deep, lateral and systemic thinker whose involvement energises people and helps to bring about sustained behaviour change.

Business and organisational experience

Jane enjoyed a successful communications career before formally retraining in 2009 to become a coach. She worked her way up to board level positions in both PR consultancy and corporate environments but throughout this time her passion was always for people development and she was frequently drawn to projects of this nature. Jane's coaching career has unleashed that passion fully, bringing with it with much greater career satisfaction and authenticity. Far from simply changing careers, she now uses her communications skills, commercial awareness and proven strategic understanding to ensure change, learning and development initiatives are created in a way that help teams and individuals thrive in our increasingly complex business world.

Particular preferences and coaching strengths

Jane describes herself as a relational coach who explicitly harnesses the power of reflective learning to help clients bring about positive behaviour change. Based on her award-winning academic research into the role of feedback during coaching, Jane encourages coachees to provide feedback on the coaching process itself as a means to enhance their reflective learning abilities and get the most out of the relationship. This also helps to quickly develop strong and effective coaching partnerships and results in enhanced levels of self-awareness for her clients. It also helps clients to learn and practice the skills needed to be able to self-coach after a course of coaching is complete.

She practices what she preaches and has invested in her own continuing professional development whilst being self-employed. She graduated top of her year with an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change in 2013, frequently attends coach training events and has self-funded accreditation courses in a number of respected psychometric tools and methodologies.
