Experience as an Executive Coach

I am a certified professional executive coach. I work collaboratively with senior leaders (including those in a transitionary phase in their careers), helping them tackle performance or relational issues using developmental and transformational leadership coaching skills. I assist leaders to recognise and make significant changes in their approach to leadership, making them more competent to deal with challenges whilst ensuring that their progress is aligned in accordance with the principles of the organisation they operate in.

Organisational Experience

Prior to becoming an executive coach, I excelled in academia for over ten years working in various educational institutions in the Middle East and Malaysia (such as the Global University for Islamic Finance), researching and teaching Islamic Banking and Finance. My passion for personal and professional development lead me further to the United Kingdom (in 2015) where I embarked on a Masters in Coaching (MSc) at Henley Business School to increase my understanding of behavioural change within professional settings. Whilst studying for my Masters, I have qualified as a sports and fitness coach, which has given me an added dimension in my coaching style and a greater awareness of my clients’ physical well-being.

In 2018 I founded a coaching practice in Central London called Coachscope Limited and was privileged to work with a diverse clientele across Europe and South East Asia from numerous backgrounds including the banking sector, finance, medical and pharmaceutical industries.

 

Coaching strengths

I support individuals on a one-to-one basis, taking a pragmatic yet realistic approach in helping them resolve whatever issues may arise during the coaching relationship. My philosophy in coaching is to enable the individual become more aware of whatever issues may arise personally and professionally, equipping them to deal with situations in a practical way. I encourage leaders to engage with their purpose and identity at a deep level, fostering their sense of curiosity, exploration, investigation and learning. I collaborate with individuals by challenging their assumptions and mindsets, encouraging them to get to the crux of the matter and find practical solutions. From the experience I have gained outside the UK, I can confidently apply my skills within the US, Europe, South-East Asia and the Middle East.
