My Coaching Philosophy

Executive Coaching for me is a process that facilitates a deepening self-awareness in clients, offering the possibility of noticing patterns, themes and behaviours. The result of this is individuals leading a richer, more fulfilled personal & professional life, one in which they make more thoughtful choices, which are more aligned with their motivations, values and life stages. The impact of this on the organisation, on communities and on society more generally is significant.

Background

Following my first degree in European languages, I moved to Rome for 4yrs, working in international advertising. On my return to the UK, I held senior management positions in large corporates, working on leadership and management development in the financial and telecoms sectors. After more than a decade, I moved into consultancy, focusing predominantly on the interpersonal and communication sides of OD and leadership.

I hold an MSc in People & Organisation Development from Roffey Park Institute and am a certified Master Practitioner of NLP; I’m qualified in the use of the MBTI and 16PF₅ psychometric tools and also accredited to use Belbin Team Type profiling. Alongside one-to-one coaching, I also work with groups, from facilitating Action Learning Sets to delivering large development programmes and running intact team interventions. I’m able to work in both English and Italian.

My interests include yoga, dancing and running and I’m passionate about the arts and culture. I’ve volunteered almost all my adult life and currently work with a local cancer charity and one for the homeless.

Here are what a couple of clients have said

“I’ve found her to be very professional, compassionate courteous and respectful of boundaries, sensitive and engaging whilst providing honest, constructive, thoughtful and actionable feedback.”

“Ajay is superb at creating real ‘contact’, characterised by strong empathy and focussed attention, which develops psychological safety for the coachee. However, that sense of being supported is superbly balanced by her ability to notice, or intuit, the ‘killer question’ which takes a coachee to a deeper level of reflection, exploration or understanding. I believe it is this ability to balance hi-support and hi-challenge which makes her an outstanding coach.”
